Spice things up while playing Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with the help of this little app that allows you to change the default soundtrack of the game. #CS:GO Soundtrack #CS:GO Music #Counter-Strike Music #CS:GO #Soundtrack #Audio
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the most successful and popular games of our generation, and for good reason.
Even though the default game is perfect for most, there's a surprisingly big modding community around it.
Swapping cross-hairs, improving weapons' balance, changing the UI text colors, and tweaking knife skins and colors are just some of the most popular mods.
However, with the help of a small, Electron-based app called Music Kitten, you can also change the game's soundtrack.
In short, it replaces the default Counter-Strike: Global Offensive soundtrack with your own audio files (own music).
This only happens when the game itself gives the app certain cues (i.e. the round starts, the bomb has been planted, the round is over, and so forth).
While the app is not at all difficult to use and understand, successfully changing the game's audio cues may require a bit of reading.
Thankfully, there's a helpful "How to use" section on the app's GitHub repository that can provide enough insight to make it all worth your while.
The first thing you have to do after installing and launching the app is set the folder where the music kits will be stored.
The next step involves you having to download one or more music kits (thankfully, the game offers to download a few sample kits for free). The beauty is that you can download as many sample kits as you can find on the app's website, or create new ones from scratch.
No matter how much one loves a game, it's understandable that he or she might want to change certain aspects.
While definitely not groundbreaking, Music Kitten is one app that can definitely help, as it allows anyone to change the game's default soundtrack and audio cues.
