Barklarm For Linux

It's safe to say that, nowadays, you can find an app for pretty much any task you can think of. Of course, this is mostly for daily tasks. Developers don't have it as easy as the day-to-day user, that's for sure.

Still, thanks to new technologies and the passion for solving problems and making life a bit easier, there are a lot more comprehensive development apps today than, say, ten years ago.

Barklarm is one such application, a new-age tool designed to help developers keep track of their various project builds. In short, it's a monitoring tool (radiator app) designed to run with some of the most famous CI (continuous integration) systems out there.

Barklarm is an Electron-based application that works on all major OSes out there including Linux, Windows, and macOS.

It's also free and open-source, and it's very extensible (meaning you can make it compatible with various CI platforms, ex. GitHub actions), just as long as they don't support cctray XML format.

The way Barklarm works is heavily focused on productivity. It's designed to never get in your way while working, hence, it lives in the best place possible, in your system's tray section.

The GUI is not exactly a wonder for the eyes, but it gets the job done, and most importantly, it doesn't look old. You can add as many CI for tracking as you want, and there's even a minimalist Settings section from which you can turn the Auto-Update feature on or off, as well as export or import lists with your builds from various CIs.

What makes Barklarm special is that it's a CI build monitoring tool that works on all major platforms. As mentioned before, it's also decent-looking, but more importantly, it works like a charm from your system's tray area/taskbar/menu bar.
