Just a small and tiny text viewer that could come in handy for quick text edits on the desktop. #Text Editor #Edit Text #Write Text #Text #Editor #Write
If you're looking for the best possible text editor out there, one that perfectly fits your wants and needs, all you require is some time and patience.
It's safe to say that Mini Text is definitely not the best possible text editor out there. In fact, it's quite the opposite, as it lacks pretty much all the features one expects to find in a modern text editor. That's exactly why I find it very interesting and appealing (and you might as well).
What is Mini Text, then? It's a minimalist, small, and remarkably compact text viewer with "minimal editing capabilities." In its case "minimal editing capabilities" actually means next to no editing capabilities, but that's ok.
The main purpose of Mini Text is to offer a no-frills text editing experience wrapped within a minimalist GUI. It doesn't have a plethora of tools, it doesn't have a stacked toolbar, and it doesn't even load or save files. The whole point of Mini Text is to allow you to paste text, edit what you need to edit, and then paste it where it needs to go, that's it.
In short, if you're looking for a text editor for your complex coding/programming projects, or you want to edit and create websites (CSS work and whatnot), then this is definitely not the editor for you.
Mini Text was designed to be used with the "Always on Top," and/or "Always on Visible Workspace" features activated. To be honest, it makes a lot more sense using it this way since it's always there as a text board for quick edits, without actually getting in the way of your work.
I honestly like minimalist apps in general, and this is definitely right up my alley, so to speak. There's nothing that Mini Text can do that other even default text editors can't in terms of text editing, but the fact that you can shrink its UI, and always have it in a corner of your screen is really appealing.
Who might actually use this app? That's a good question to which I don't have a "sure-fire" answer. Be that as it may, I found the app to be particularly useful when it comes to quickly re-editing template texts.
