Justbuntu For Linux

Justbuntu is a free and open source distribution of Linux that has been created using the Ubuntu minimal install CD, in order to provide users with a clean environment. It uses the GNOME desktop environment, with GNOME Shell, and includes all the essential applications for daily use.

This custom Ubuntu OS can be downloaded via Softpedia or from its official website as a Live DVD ISO image of approximately 4GB in size, designed to support only 64-bit (x86_64) hardware platforms.

Being based on Ubuntu, the distro comes with a standard boot menu that allows the user to start the live environment with default boot options and drivers or in safe graphics mode, start the graphical installer to permanently install the OS to a local drive, run a memory test, and boot the first disk.

As mentioned, the default and only desktop environment of this Ubuntu-based operating system is GNOME, which provides users with a clean, easy-to-use, modern and gorgeous graphical interface that comprises of a dock (application launcher) located on the bottom edge of the screen and a top panel.

Being distributed as a 4GB ISO image, Justbuntu includes a plethora of open source applications, among which we can mention BleachBit, Deluge, Empathy, Evolution, FileZilla, Google Chrome, Kazam, Kingsoft office suite, Netflix Desktop, and VLC. Keep in mind though, that there are no login credential, just press the Enter key twice to log into the live session.

Justbuntu can be easily described as an out-of-the-box, working Ubuntu-based operating system, suitable for the first time Linux user, but also usable by professionals and Linux experts. No tweaking necessary!
