Perform a wide range of mathematical calculations with the help of this nifty all-encompassing calculator app that also includes a scientific calculator, unit converters, an age calculator, and many more #Scientific Calculator #Age Calculator #Currency Converter #Calculator #Science #Converter
Nowadays, performing even the most complex of calculations can be achieved in mere seconds thanks to the wide range of complex/scientific calculator apps on our phones, and even online.
Still, if your work mainly revolves around a computer, it might be worth having a trusty and capable calculator app by your side. SuperCalc is one such application, a free Linux application designed mainly for Ubuntu and other Debian-based systems.
The main advantage of SuperCalc is that it bundles a plethora of powerful calculation tools in one package. You get a normal calculator which should cover most of your daily and basic calculation needs and a pretty well-rounded scientific calculator that can handle most complex calculations.
SuperCalc also brings to the table an Expression Calculator, a Currency Converter (even though we would advise using an online tool for this job instead), a BMI Calculator, and multiple Unit Converters.
Last but not least, the app also provides you with a nice Age Calculator. This Age Calculator is quite good since it displays how many months, days, hours, and minutes since your birth, as well as how much time you have until your next birthday.
The main drawback of SuperCalc is, of course, its GUI. The GUI difference between calculators can vary between pretty similar to very different, which makes the app like a couple of apps put together without much effort. It just makes the app lack consistency.
Another somewhat annoying feature is the fact that the results are not truncated (and there's no way to tweak this particular aspect), which can be problematic when dealing with results with multiple decimals.
SuperCalc stands pretty true to its name. It's a very well-rounded application that brings a lot to the table. It's just a bit of a shame that the GUI is not on par with what a modern Ubuntu/Debian app looks and feels like.
