Currency Converter is a free and open-source app that is perfect for those who want to convert currencies from the comforts of their desktops. It's in no way, shape, or form more advanced that Google's currency converter, but it's a lot easier to use, well, arguably.

When using Google's currency converter, you have to enter the exact value in the search field and know the names of the currencies you want to exchange. With the help of this app, you get a gorgeous Libadwaita GUI that presents all of the options in a more fashionable manner.

Currency Converter was not built to impress, hence, you shouldn't expect more than it provides. In short, Currency Converter is a classic example of a WYSIWYG app. The only extra option the app provides is the option of choosing between two GUI themes (Dark and Light). Of course, you can also choose to let the app use whichever theme it needs based on your system's preferences.

Even though my work doesn't involve much currency conversions, I found this app to be quite satisfying. In fact, I prefer it when compared to Google currency conversion service which requires you to enter all the data yourself in the search field. GNOME users, in particular, will appreciate the fact that it looks rather good, despite not being the most complex tool for the job.
