Moonsync is an ultra-stylish music player. It's also free, open-source, and works on multiple Linux distributions, as well as macOS and Windows.

One of the best things is that Moonsync also comes with a set of predefined themes for the GUI, which are all very good. Another very interesting aspect is that it also offers integation with Spotify and YouTube playlists.

This means that you can play songs from both platforms, as well as discover new music from said platforms via direct recommendations. Another neat aspect is the scrobble support for LastFM.

The pros are pretty easy to see. Moonsync looks and feels like a modern audio player, and is capable of playing music from your computer, as well as from two of the most popular music sharing platforms.

Other advantages include the ability to customize the GUI via themes, as well as to develop your won apps with the help of Moonsync Extension API.

Even though it's not particularly a drawback, we have to mention that Moonsync is an Electron-based app. For those of you who don't like Electron-based apps, we hear you. There's no getting around the fact that Moonsync is a lot more resource hungry than you typical native audio player, but truth be told, it's somewhat deserving of those resources, especially considering the way it looks and feels.

Taking everything into account, if you don't mind the concept of having an Electron-based music player, then you can't really go wrong with Moonsync. It's a solid, stylish, and quite practical music player that works nicely.
