MellowPlayer is a free, open-source, and cross-platform app (mostly designed for Linux, but it also works on Windows) that lets you do just that.

Some examples include YouTube, Spotify, Deezer, Google Play Music, Soundcloud, Mixcloud, 8tracks, Tune In, Tidal, Anghami, Pocket Casts, Hear this at, Jamendo, Radionomy, Wynk, and ympd.

Another great feature is the fact that you can individually control the experience with each one. For example, you can mute ads (or skip them entirely with the help of an integrated ad-blocker) on YouTube.

MellowPlayer also integrates nicely with most Linux systems. This means that you can use your media keys to control the playback of your tunes, and even take advantage of a sleek status bar controller to get things done.

Other nice-to-have features include system-wide notification support, a  music listening history section, and of course, support for plugins.

This means that you can extend MellowPlayer's functionality and make it your own via plugins. For example, you can create your own plugin to make the app support a new streaming service that's not on the list of supported ones.

MellowPlayer is, of course, not the only app of this sort. Nevertheless, it does offer a lot, especially considering it's a free and open-source app. It works well, it is easy to use, it integrates nicely with your computer's system, and, it also allows you to extend its functionality.
