ServOS Black Stallion For Linux

ServOS Black Stallion is a special edition of the ServOS Linux operating system, based on the CentOS distribution, which in turn is derived from the award winning Red Hat Enterprise Linux product. It is a server-oriented OS that can be easily used directly from a bootable medium (CD or USB) or installed on a local drive.

The Black Stallion edition of the ServOS operating system is available for download for free from Softpedia as Live CD and Live DVD ISO images, two for each of the supported hardware platforms (32-bit and 64-bit). While the Live CDs can be deployed to CD discs and USB flash drives of 1GB or higher capacity, the Live DVDs can be written on DVD discs and USB sticks of 2GB or higher capacity.

Both the Live CDs and Live DVDs come with the same boot menu, which has been designed to automatically start the live system in 10 seconds from the moment the user boots the ISO image from the BIOS of his/her computer using a bootable medium of his/her choice (see above section for details).

You can press any key on your keyboard during the 10 second boot timeout to access the boot menu, which allows you to start the live system with normal configuration, in text mode, in safe graphics mode, start the graphical or text-mode installer, as well as to perform a system memory diagnostic test and boot an existing OS from the local drive.

The distribution uses a customized GNOME Classic graphical desktop environment, which comprises of a dock (application launcher) located on the bottom edge of the screen and a panel located on the upper side of the screen. It includes a wide range of open-source applications. Keep in mind though, that the default language for the entire system (exception makes the boot menu) is Spanish.
