MagicLinux For Linux

MagicLinux is an open source distribution of Linux specifically designed from the ground up to be used by members of the Chinese Linux community. By default, the distribution supports the Chinese Simplified language and uses the well known KDE Plasma Workspaces and Applications project as its desktop environment. It comes with a wide range of open source software packages.

It’s distributed as a single hybrid Live DVD ISO image that can be easily written to a USB flash drive or burned on a CD disc using any CD/DVD burning software. Being a Live environment, you can use it directly from the boot medium without installing anything on the disk drive.

From the boot prompt, users will be able to run a memory test or start an operating system that is installed on the first disk. In addition to other, it includes a DOS-like environment called MaxDOS and comprised of a wide range of utilities.

Default applications include the LibreOffice office suite, Gwenview image viewer, K3b CD/DVD burning software, Audacity audio editor, KMix audio mixer and volume control utility, LiVES video editor, Qmmp audio player, SMPlayer video player, qrecordd audio recorder, KWrite text editor, Ark archive manager, and GoldenDict dictionary.

It comes with KCalc calculator, KGpg encryption utility, Klipper clipboard manager, Claws Mail email client, FileZilla file transfer client, WebQQ instant messenger, Google Chrome web browser, KNetAttach network manager, Qt Creator IDE, GIMP image editor, KSnapshot screen capture utility, Okular document viewer, Konsole terminal emulator, and Dolphin file manager.

The Mednafen portable multi-system emulator is also included in this distribution, allowing users to play games that were designed for gaming consoles like Sony PlayStation, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), GameBoy (Color) and GameBoy Advance, Sega Master System, and many more.
