Kademar Xfce For Linux

Kademar Xfce is an open source distribution of Linux, a special edition of the Kademar operating system suitable for old computers, especially because it uses the lightweight Xfce desktop environment. The distribution’s main language is Spanish!

This special Kademar edition can be downloaded from Softpedia or its official website (see link above) as Live DVD ISO images of approximately 2GB in size, designed to support both 64-bit and 32-bit instruction set architectures.

The boot menu’s default language is Spanish. The user will be able to start the live environment with default boot options, perform a fresh installation, run a system memory test, view detailed hardware information, as well as to reboot or power off the computer.

Before you can access the graphical session, which is powered by the Xfce desktop environment, you can choose a default language to be used for the live environment. Supported languages include English, Catalan, Spanish, French, German, Castellano, Chinese, Italian, Russian, Galician and Basque.

The user will be able to choose between the standard Xfce4 desktop environment and the Steam desktop interface immediately after the language selection. It is also possible to start the graphical installer.

In conclusion, the Xfce edition of Kademar is more than a lightweight distribution of Linux, as it provides users with a dedicated Steam desktop environment that is not so suitable for low-end machines.
