Go about your daily browsing business with the help of Elza, an open-source browser that's all about privacy and security #Private Browser #Browsing Security #Privacy Protection #Browser #Internet #Privacy
The Internet is probably one of the best things in our lives, but it's not all rainbows and unicorns as it can also be a scary place when it comes to privacy.
That said, our browser of choice is the one that shapes our experience on the Internet. A good browser is a browser that allows us to get things done quickly and efficiently, just as long as it doesn't come at the cost of our privacy and security, right?
In the case of Elza Browser, that's exactly right.
Elza Browser is a free, cross-platform (Windows, macOS, Linux), open-source, and no-nonsense web browser. It's designed to be used as a secondary browser for privacy purposes, and we have to say, the first impressions are good.
Its two most defining characteristics are its minimalism and its attention towards privacy and security.
The main advantage of Elza is that it allows you to browse incognito for an unlimited period of time ensuring that you leave no trace behind.
It uses Tor (or Onion Routing) to ensure a multi-layered encrypted browsing experience and the built-in ad-blocker only makes things better by efficiently blocking ads, trackers, and other similar potentially harmful elements.
The browser has also been sandboxed with no access to outside tracking components, and if you're still not convinced, you can check the source code for yourself.
Last but not least, Elza does not collect, view, or store any personal user data.
For someone whole wants an incognito browser to keep his or her activities really private, Elza Browser is indeed perfect. As mentioned before, it wasn't designed to be your day-to-day, get-things-done browser since it can't realistically match the productivity toolsets of other more popular browsers out there.
Be that as it may, Elza is still a joy to work with. It boasts a minimalistic black-themed GUI with one of the "cleanest" layouts out there. From the Settings section, you can activate or deactivate the Onion Routing, choose the default search engine, allow or deny access to elements such as camera, microphone, or location services, enable or disable JavaScript, as well as handle downloads.
Even though it's a young project and nowhere near as popular as other privacy browsers (such as Waterfox, Brave, and so forth), Elza Browser is definitely worth your attention.
It has everything most users would want from a secure browser: speed, good looks, and top-notch, time-proven security technologies.
