Notification Banner Reloaded For Linux

Notification Banner Reloaded is a very useful little GNOME Shell extension that is all about providing you with greater control over your GNOME system notifications.

This includes their position, the way they appear on screen, the display duration, and a few other little aspects.

The short answer is - decently good. Sure, as users we always want more, but the truth of the matter is that Notification Banner Reloaded is one of the best GNOME Shell extensions of this sort, definitely better than Notification Banner Position (at least, this is the case at the time of testing).

Notification Banner Reloaded provides you with a wider choice when it comes to where you want to move the notifications. You can choose between three horizontal (Left, Right, and Center) and three vertical positions (Top, Bottom, and Center). Another great aspect is that you can also add both horizontal and vertical padding for your notifications.

Other nice features include the ability to control the notifications' animations (as well as their timing intervals). For instance, you can choose from various animation directions (Slide from Right, Slide from Left, Slide from Bottom, and Slide from Top).

As far as GNOME Shell extensions go, Notification Banner Reloaded is definitely one of the better ones, and this is all due to the fact that it offers users a lot of choice when it comes to the whole tweaking process. This is not limited to the notification banner's position on the screen, but also how they appear or disappear, which is a very nice option to have.

As mentioned before, yes, it could be better (opacity settings would be nice, or some color customization options), but there's a good chance you won't be disappointed if you opt to install it. As usual, the easiest way to install this extension (or any GNOME Shell extension, for that matter) is to simply rely on Extension Manager.
