Twin Robots, a new platforming game developed and published on Steam by a studio named Thinice, has been released for the Linux platform as well.

There are quite a few 2D platformers on the Steam for Linux platform, so Twin Robots will have really tough competition. Interestingly enough, the game has been around for a while, but on Desura. That platform is going away, so the developers have moved their game to Steam as well.

"Twin Robots is a 2.5D platformer where you can switch control between two little robots; They have been imprisoned and need to find the way out of each level! You can play alone or with a friend in local co-op multiplayer, so that each player controls one robot. You'll be running, jumping & solving puzzles together, but beware: Both robots are battery-powered so they consume energy in everything," reads the Steam synopsis.

The system requirements for the game are quite low and everyone should be able to play it. For this game, you'll need to have a 2.0Ghz CPU, 1 GB of RAM, a video card with Shader Model 2.0 support, and 187 MB of HDD space.

Even if the game is quite cheap, there is also a promotion running now, offering the title with a 15% price cut until August 11.
