Ubuntu member Nathan Haines is proud to inform Softpedia about the availability of the new community wallpapers for the upcoming Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) operating system.

Ubuntu 17.04 just got its Final Beta release at the end of last week, and now that Final Freeze stage is approaching fast, it's time for us to have a look at the default wallpapers shipping with the final release, which have been contributed by various artists and photographers from all over the world.

"Every cycle, talented artists around the world create media and release it under licenses that encourage sharing and adaptation. For Ubuntu 17.04, 96 images were submitted to the Ubuntu 17.04 Free Culture Showcase photo pool on Flickr, where all eligible submissions can be found," said Nathan Haines on his blog announcement.

In order of appearance, these default Ubuntu 17.04 wallpapers are: A star has fallen (Una estrella ha caído) by Juan Pablo Lauriente, Candy by Bernhard Hanakam, Espaciolandia by Nando.uy, Forest by Moritz Reisinger, Mushrooms 3 by moritzmhmk, Pink and Blue by Ashwin Deshpande, and Purple Daisy by Maria Scotto.

The list continues with Road to Nowhere by Matt Bailey/Forsaken Media, Seebrücke Graal-Müritz by Oliver_hb, Some Light Reading by Brandilyn Carpenter, Passion by Vilia Majere, and "there is something human in that stuff" by Pierre Cante. Congrats to the artists for these awesome photos and for their kind contributions to Ubuntu Linux.

Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) will launch in approximately two weeks from the moment of writing this article, on April 13, with the Linux 4.10 kernel, an updated graphics stack based on Mesa 17 3D Graphics Library, and all the latest apps and technologies.
