rekonq, a web browser for KDE based on WebKit that features a minimal look and has a lightweight approach, has reached version 2.4.2

rekonq 2.4.2 arrived just a couple of days after the previous version and it was released because of one feature in particular, “the clear urlbar button.”

“You may know rekonq uses urlbar right corner to notify things like “bookmarks”, “rss”, “ads blocked” and so on. So basically things related to the site you are actually visiting. This completely excludes KLineEdit clear urlbar button implementation.”

“The idea has been to add it as a normal action, excluded by default from the main toolbar, but easy to add just right clicking there and choosing “configure main toolbar,” reads the official announcement.

Keep in mind that this browser is designed for the KDE platform and you might have problems trying to install and run it in other desktop environments.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement. Download rekonq 2.4.2 Internet browser right now from Softpedia.
