A clean and beautiful example of a RSS reader for Ubuntu Touch has been shown on the official website of Canonical.

Canonical has shown us its progress with Ubuntu Touch, but it hasn’t offered too many details about the applications that are going to be an integral part of the new OS.

Shorts is a RSS reader built for Ubuntu Touch, which looks amazing, at least from the design screenshots provided, and the features planned for it make it irresistible.

Given the fact that Google Reader is no more and that not many developers are actually thinking about this particular functionality, it is nice to see that Canonical is planning ahead.

Shorts takes advantage of the Touch interface, and everything is built around this feature. Most of the actions will be done with swipe gestures, and the application is brimming with options.
