The "50 shades of grey" theme, which is compatible with many desktop environments of all kinds, has received an update and is now available for download.

"50 shades of grey" is actually a theme pack that includes GTK 3 and GTK 2 themes, three Beryl themes, and a few themes for Cinnamon.

The theme doesn't have a proper installation package, which means that the files will have to be manually moved in the appropriate folders. For example, on Ubuntu, you will have to open a Nautilus instance, with root privileges from the terminal by entering the following command: sudo nautilus

The new Nautilus window that opens will have read and write capabilities in the system, so you must be very careful what you do with it. Just move the appropriate folders into the Theme directory, in usr > share.

According to the developer, the last version release contains a very important fix for the toolbars that only applies to the following themes (these are folder names in the source archive): 01, 05, 08, 09, 13, 14, 15, 16, 19, 21, 38, 44, 49, 51, 53, 54 (GTK-2).

More details about the theme can be found on the official website. You can download it from gnome-look.org.
