Digital photo management application for KDE and Linux digiKam, which includes an image editor for photo corrections and manipulation, has been promoted to version 4.3.0

The digiKam collection of tools has been updated yet again, but this time it's just a few changes and a host of smaller fixes. Despite the version number that hints at something major, this latest iteration of the application is nothing to write home about, although users should upgrade as soon as possible.

According to the changelog, a new option to display all the non geo-located images from collections has been added, a new action to exclude items without rating with items filter has been implemented, the "remove all tags" entry has been added to the menu hierarchy, the "Open With..." option in image editor has been added, it's now possible to sort images by camera, and it's now possible to set the settings from inside the .NEF file itself.

Also, the time and dates in digiKam are now working properly, keyboard shortcuts have been added to navigate between tabs from the left and right sidebar, the switching action between preview modes is now faster, the collapse of the keyword tree has been repaired, and "Move" is now the default operation.

The complete changelog for digiKam can be found on the official website. You can download digiKam 4.3.0 right now from Softpedia.
