baretorrent, a portable BitTorrent client with basic features along with support for extensions, that is very similar to uTorrent and Vuze, has reached version 0.4.3.

The developer of baretorrent is trying to provide an alternative to the uTorrent client, although, to be fair, there are already a few solutions on the Linux platform that are quite similar.

Highlights of baretorrent 0.4.3:

• Users can now search in the torrent list; • Recursive file priorities have been implemented; • A delay has been implemented before checking for updates; • Extensions can now be installed from the command line; • btx files are now recognized by the client.

Check the official changelog for more information about this release. Download baretorrent 0.4.3 right now from Softpedia.

Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
