The Xfce-based distribution Xubuntu 12.04.3 (Precise Pangolin) has been released along with all the others and now we can see if the third point version in the series has any differences.

We compiled a small screenshot tour in order to better explore this distribution. A couple of other releases have been made since 12.04, but you have to keep in mind that this is an LTS version and it gets much longer support.

According to the developers, the i386 images use a non-PAE kernel. The non-PAE kernel will not be available in future Xubuntu releases, and some default shortcuts have been changed, added and deleted.

Just like Ubuntu 12.04.3, Xubuntu is now based on Linux kernel 3.8, which has been brought from the 13.04 distro.

You can check our initial report for more details about this release. Download Xubuntu 12.04.3 right now from Softpedia.
