A small category of Linux users wants to emulate the Windows 8 interface style and there are a couple of themes out there ready to do just that.

If you enjoy the way Windows 8 looks like, with its flat buttons, flat interface, and flat personality, then you will need the Windows 8 modern UI (metro) theme for GTK and metacity.

The installation of the two themes works just like any other. You will have to place the files in /usr/share/theme. You can then use something like GNOME Tweak Tool in order to activate it.

Windows 8 modern UI (metro) theme comes with 16 colors and it's hard not to find one you like. Even the default color from Windows 8 is present in the archive. Download Windows 8 modern UI (metro) theme for GTK
