Webmin, a web-based interface for system administration for Unix, has just reached version 1.660 and it's available for download.

With Webmin 1.660 and with the help of any modern browser, users can set up user accounts, Apache servers, DNS, file sharing, and much more.

Users don't need to manually edit Unix configuration files like /etc/passwd, which allows for remote control of the system.

According to the developers, this is a rather small release, with only a couple of changes. Several bugs have been fixed in the Apache and Software packages module, and the ability to change the execution time of Webmin scheduled functions has been added into the softare.

A complete list of backlog of chages and improvements can be found in the official announcement. Download Webmin 1.660 right now from Softpedia.
