VueScan 9.4.35, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanners and that supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners, and film scanners, has been released and is now available for download.

The VueScan project is under constant development, and fixes, changes, and new features are implemented on a regular basis. The developers have made smaller updates in the last few weeks and numerous other devices have been added.

According to the changelog, a problem with the Epson Perfection V500 document feeder has been fixed, a few issues with Canon LiDE 110 and LiDE 210 have been repaired, and the printing on the Linux platform works correctly once again.

Also, support has been added for the Samsung C460 series, installing the Photoshop import filter has been fixed, the default of “Input | Media” has been changed to “Text” for document feeders, and support has been added for installing VueScan plugin in Photoshop CC 2014.

VueScan provides support for over 1,000 scanners on the Linux system. Not all of them work with all SCSI/USB/Firewire interfaces, but most combinations are known to function.

A complete backlog of modifications implemented in all the past versions can be found in the official announcement. You can download VueScan 9.4.35 right now from Softpedia.
