VueScan 9.4.11, an easy-to-use replacement for the software that usually comes with scanners and that supports most flatbed scanners, printer/scanners, and film scanners, has been released and is now available for download.

The VueScan project is under constant development and fixes, changes, and new features are implemented on a regular basis.

Highlights of VueScan 9.4.11:

• A problem with excessive memory utilization has been fixed; • Switches have been added to the document feeder; • The application no longer automatically switches to flatbed when there is no paper; • Performance when scanning has been increased; • Support has been added for PIE PrimeFilm X, XA, and XE.

VueScan provides support for over 1,000 scanners on the Linux system. Not all of them work with all SCSI/USB/Firewire interfaces, but most combinations are known to function.

A complete backlog of modifications implemented in all the past versions can be found in the official announcement. Download VueScan 9.4.11 right now from Softpedia.
