Oracle announced on August 21 that its VirtualBox virtualization product for enterprises and end users had just reached version 4.3.0 Beta 1.
The VirtualBox solution is capable of running a large number of OSes, including Windows, Linux, Macintosh, and Solaris hosts, not to mention a lot of other guest additions.
Highlights of Oracle VirtualBox 4.3.0 Beta 1:
• A major rewrite of the VT-x code has been done, including many bug fixes and performance improvements; • Video capturing support has been added; • Emulated USB touch devices are now accessible; • Support for IPv6 has been added; • An extended messaging mechanism has been implemented; • An experimental Virtual Router mode has been added.
