The latest Linux kernel, 3.7 RC1, is also supported by this version of VirtualBox

Oracle announces that its VirtualBox virtualization product for enterprises and end users has just reached version 4.2.2.

VirtualBox 4.2.2 has quite a few changes and bugfixes, but the most important of all is the introduction X.Org Server 1.13 support.

Highlights of VirtualBox 4.2.2:

• The application now supports Linux Kernel 3.7 RC1; • X.Org Server 1.13 support has been added; • A hang when the X server was restarted with old guest kernels has been repaired; • A VBoxService crash during CPU hot remove was fixed; • Autostart service going into maintenance mode after all VMs started, on Solaris systems, has been fixed; • Linking the host driver with the dtrace module, on Solaris systems, has been repaired.
