SteamOS, a Debian-based distribution developed by Valve to be used in its hybrid PC / console, has been updated yet again.

The previous build for SteamOS brought the much needed support for AMD graphic cards, and now another series of important fixes and changes has been implemented.

According to the changelog, the hardcoded HDMI sinks from Pulseaudio configuration (new from last alchemist_beta) have been removed, the install process has been improved (accept Steam Install agreement, wait for Steam to update itself, Exit Steam dialog), and the Debian-installer and debian-cd source packages have been added to the repositories.

Also, the mouse cursor is no longer disappearing in Wargame games, the USB sound devices have been hotplugged by re-enabling Pulseaudio dynamic module loading, and the PolicyKit configuration has been changed to give members of the sudo group administrative rights.

Check the official announcement for more details about this release. You can download SteamOS right now from Softpedia. Keep in mind that, even if this is a stable release, some bugs might still be present.
