Left 4 Dead 2 has been released by Valve, along with Portal, on Steam for Linux, for some time now, but the developers continue to update it on a regular basis and this latest release is all about the Linux platform.

Most of the Left 4 Dead 2 updates so far have been released for balancing purposes, but the new one deal with other issues.

For example, a crash that occurred when showing the server MOTD has been corrected, microphone support has been added for Linux (finally), an occasional crash that occurred when playing with captions has been corrected, and a few captions that were not display at all have been fixed.

More details about this release can be found in the official announcement. Also, you can check out our review of Left 4 Dead 2.
