There are no other Ubuntu Certified devices besides what already know

Canonical was not present at CES 2014, but a number of images with an Ubuntu Touch phone have been making the rounds. Ubuntu community manager Jono Bacon has put an end to the rumors in a very funny way.

The so-called leaks have even been accompanied by some images featuring a Meizu phone with an Ubuntu Certified logo. The logo could have come from anywhere, without any implication from Canonical, but the “leaks” need to stop.

Community manager Jono Bacon has posted a very interesting image on Google Plus. He slapped a few pieces of paper with the Ubuntu Certified logo on various devices, including a watch.

With one swift blow he killed any hope of an Ubuntu watch (if there was one) and of any new Ubuntu Certified products, at least in the near future.

It’s safe to say there is no Meizu Ubuntu Certified Phone, and if there was we would probably hear it from Canonical first.
