A Debian developer has got himself a very cool license plate

It's always nice when the Ubuntu operating system is spotted running somewhere that no one would have thought, but seeing on a license plate is something else.

The Ubuntu community is very good at spotting their favorite operating system in the wild, whether it's in movies or just in some random Youtube clip. A Google + user has posted a photograph of a license plate that shows the Ubuntu name instead of the usual letters and numbers.

Vanity plates are nothing new, but a license plate with the name of an operating system, in this case Ubuntu, alongside the tag line “Linux for human beings” is not something you see everyday.

And most of us won't be able to see it anyway. It turns out that the plate belongs to Andrew McMillan, a long time Debian developer, which lives in New Zealand.

If you spotted Ubuntu in any unusual place, don't be shy and leave as a comment.
