Flat themes are now a hot item, either on Linux, iOS, or Windows operating systems. Trevilla is probably one of the best versions available for the Linux platform and it can even be employed in Ubuntu 14.04 (Trusty Tahr).

The developers say that Trevilla is a minimalistic yet fancy pack of GTK+3 themes that centers a simplistic look and feel with worked-on-detail elements.

Trevilla is actually a collection of flat themes that follow a certain art direction. It comes with Unity panel support and dedicated colors for close, minimize, and maximize buttons.

With the help of noobslab.com, a PPA is available for everyone to use. To install the themes just open enter the following commands in a terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/themes sudo add-apt-repository ppa:noobslab/icons sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install trevilla-themes sudo apt-get install trevilla-icons

To activate the themes, you will need to also install a tool, like GNOME Tweak Tool or Ubuntu Tweak.
