Mozilla has officially released Thunderbird 25 Beta 1, an email and RSS client, for all the available platforms, including Linux.

Thunderbird has been lacking a Beta branch so far, but the developers from Mozilla have sorted it out. A new Beta is now available for download, featuring virtually no new features.

There are no official details as of yet, besides the download link, but we can expect Mozilla to have patched a few security problems, just like they did with practically all the releases in the past year or so.

If you get bored, you can check the “long” list of improvements for the previous stable release. Don't forget to check out our review of the RSS function of Thunderbird.
