AV Linux, a custom shop modded Linux-based Operating System, built from a handpicked selection of available audio tools and based on Debian/GNU Linux and the Xfce Desktop Environment, is now at version 6.0.2.

AV Linux distributions have become a lot more attractive with the latest version, and the 6.0.2 build has to be the best-looking so far, even if this is not the developer's goal.

“This new 6.0.2 version contains VERY significant changes including a complete new customized XFCE4 4.10 Desktop Environment, the ‘pipelight’ browser plugin giving access to DRM Silverlight content (ie Netflix) through your web browser, embarrassingly copious amounts of great LV2 Audio plugins, updated FFADO drivers, additional handy Nautilus scripts, exfat-fuse support, MTP smartphone and tablet support, updated and improved documentation, LibreOffice 4.1, and the very best Multimedia Content Creation applications all updated, tested and provided ready to use!” reads the announcement.

Also, the AV Linux website now has a new “sounds” FTP to provide Hydrogen Drumkits, SFZ Sound libraries, Soundfonts, and Samples.

A complete list with all the changes can be found in the official announcement. Download AV Linux 6.0.2 right now from Softpedia.
