The adventure developed by Ron Gilber and Double Fine was also launched on Linux

The Cave, a game developed by Monkey Island creator Ron Gilbert, and Double Fine Productions, is now available on Steam for Linux, with a 50% discount.

Players will have to assemble a team of three heroes, stemming from a group of seven completely different candidates. Their job is to explore The Cave and reach the surprising conclusion.

Ron Gilbert and Double Fine have managed to offer an amazing experience. With their efforts combined, The Cave already become somewhat of a cult game.

This is not a very complex game, but it does require an average computer. Here are the official Linux system requirements:

• OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, fully updated • Processor: 1.8 GHz dual core CPU • Memory: 1 GB RAM • Graphics: 256 MB GeForce 8800, Radeon HD 2000, or Intel HD 4000 Graphics • Open GL: 2.1 • Hard Drive: 1.5 GB HD space

The promotion will last until March 29.
