Valve has released yet another development version of its Steam client, featuring quite a few changes.

The company usually pushes a few Beta updates before upgrading the stable branch of Steam, and now it's time for another build to be available for download.

Highlights of the latest Steam update:

• A regression that affected the launch of mods has been corrected; • A regression that occurred when adding/removing shortcuts for users not in the streaming beta has been fixed; • More fixes to restoring monitor position/primary status on exit, when Big Picture is told to use a non-primary monitor, have been implemented; • A message is now provided if you try to stream to Windows XP without DirectX installed; • Known issues around connecting in-home streaming clients have been corrected.

Check out the official announcement for more details about this release. You can also download the Steam installer from Softpedia if you don't have the client.
