Maureen Jett, a product director from VanDyke Software, has announced that SecureCRT 7.1.2 is now available for Linux, for both Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OSes.

SecureCRT 7.1.2 provides terminal emulation for computing professionals, raising productivity with advanced session management and a host of ways to save time and streamline repetitive tasks.

A number of changes have been implemented, including the ability of SecureCRT to clear the display attributes when those escape sequences are received. According to the developer, with WYSE50 emulation, when the remote system sent ESC * or ESC +, the reverse video attribute could have remained set.

Also, a global-file-only option "Log Uses Generic Write Flag" has been added so that logging works with sessions that connect to a network drive that does not support the FILE_APPEND_DATA flag.

A complete list of changes and updates can be found in the official announcement. Download SecureCRT 7.1.2 right now from Softpedia.
