Samba 4.0.15, an app that seamlessly integrates Linux/Unix servers and desktops into Active Directory environments using the winbind daemon, has been officially released.
This is just a maintenance build in the 4.0.x branch, and features only a small number of fixes and improvements.
According to the developers, the shadow_copy2 module is now working with Windows 7, and ntlm_auth sometimes no longer returns the wrong username to mod_ntlm_auth_winbind.
Also, a bug that caused 100% CPU utilization has been fixed, the use of uninitialized variables has been fixed, support has been added for Heimdal's unified krb5 and hdb plugin system, and a crash bug in smb2_notify code has been fixed.
More details about this release can be found in the official announcement.
