Tails 0.22.1, a live system that aims to preserve your privacy and that helps you use the Internet anonymously, has been officially released and is available for testing.
The developers have outed a final version of Tails after a couple of development builds, which brings a number of important changes.
Highlights of Tails 0.22.1:
• The Firefox web browser has been updated to 24.3.0esr, which fixes a few serious security issues; • The system NSS has been upgraded to version 3.14.5; • Pidgin has been upgraded to version 2.10.8, which fixes a number of serious security issues; • The OS now checks for upgrades by using the Tails Upgrader and proposes to apply an incremental upgrade whenever possible; • The distribution is now based on Linux Kernel 3.12 (3.12.6-2).
