Libvirt 1.2.5, a collection of software tools that provide a convenient way to manage virtual machines and other virtualization functionality, such as storage and network interface management, is now available for download.

Libvirt is used in a number of different visualization technologies, such as KVM, Xen, VMWare ESX, VirtualBox, and QEMU.

Libvirt 1.2.5 is just as big as the previous versions in this branch and the devs continue to find issues to fix, even if the development cycle has advanced quite a lot.

According to the changelog, the entities are no longer expanding when parsing XML files, the compiler warning on the 32-bit platform is now ignored, the DST end date in virtimetest timezones has been fixed, a crash that occurred in the DAC driver has been fixed, a storage file API has been added to read the file headers, support has been added to access the files by using the provided uid/gid, the NONE protocol type has been implemented for network disks, and a redundant error macro has been removed.

You can check the official changelog for a complete list of updates, bug fixes, and new features. You can download Libvirt 1.2.5 right now from the official website. Keep in mind that this is provided as a source package.
