The ROHC library, a tool that provides an easy and robust way for applications to reduce their bandwidth usage on network links with limited capacity or expensive costs, is now at version 1.5.0.

The ROHC library 1.5.0 is not compatible with all previous 1.3.x or 1.4.x releases as the format of ROHC packets was changed to be closer to ROHC standards.

Highlights of ROHC 1.5.0:

• ESP profile was added; • Support for FreeBSD and Microsoft Windows (through MinGW) systems was added; • Support for ARM and PowerPC platforms has been improved; • Clang and PCC compilers are now supported; • Stream classifier efficiency has been increased; • The disambiguation algorithm for RTP UOR-2* packets has been fixed; • The library now handles TS wraprounds as stated in RFC 4815; • New API functions have been added for users to ease configuration; • The jamming algorithm has been removed because it was poorly implemented.
