Quirky, a Linux distribution from the “Puppy Linux family” that is used to introduce new ideas and applications, has now reached version 6.1.

This version of Quirky, 6.1, is intended to be as small as possible, providing support for f2fs (Flash Friendly File System), and a few others.

“Relative to 6.0, Quirky has got really heavy duty system save/restore, package uninstall recovery, and easy system version upgrade. This was achieved by quite intense development over a very short time period,” said the developer the official announcement.

Also, a simplified version upgrade has been put in place and users now have access to system rollback and system recovery.

More details about this bleeding edge release of Puppy can be found in the official blog post. Download Quirky 6.1 right now from Softpedia.
