Proxmox VE (Virtual Environment), an easy to use open-source virtualization platform for running Virtual Appliances and Virtual Machines, is now at version 2.2.

According to the developers, Proxmox VE 2.1 includes countless improvements and a lot of exiting new features like live snapshots for KVM guests.

Highlights of Proxmox VE 2.2:

• Linux kernel was updated to version vzkernel-2.6.32-042; • Intel nics drivers have been updated; • qemu-kvm was updated to version 1.2.0; • Live snapshot support (qcow2) was added; • A new option to select SCSI controller hardware has been added; • The application now supports up to 32 network devices; • The update to latest Debian version 6.0.6 has been implemented.
