LiVES, a simple-to-use, powerful video editor and VJ tool that allows users to combine realtime and rendered effects, streams, and multiple video/audio files, is now at version 2.2.0.

LiVES 2.2.0 can help users start editing and making videos without having to worry about formats, frame sizes, or framerates.

Highlights of LiVES 2.2.0:

• A new avformat_decoder has been added; • Optimizations have been implemented for handling larger clips; • Threading is now used for pulling frames from video clips; • The loading and saving of layouts in multitrack is now done a lot quicker; • A crash in swscale when frame width is not multiple of 4 has been fixed; • Compilation fixes for Debian Sid have been implemented.
