Portal, an innovative single-player game developed and published by Valve, has been launched officially on Linux and already received a couple of patches.

Portal was first released back in 2007, along with Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2. Valve still needs to update this old title, especially now, after being made available on Steam for Linux.

Highlights of the latest Portal updates:

• Bonus maps entries are appearing under Linux; • Closed Captions are now working correctly under Linux; • A crash, which occurred on some level transitions if you were carrying a radio, has been fixed; • A game issue which happened when loading older save files has been fixed; • The 360 controller is now working properly.

Keep in mind that Portal is still in the beta stages. Problems are bound to appear. More details about the patch can be found on the official website.
