PhpMyAdmin, the popular tool written in PHP and intended to handle the administration of MySQL databases, is now at version 4.2.6.

A new phpMyAdmin build, 4.2.6, has been released, and the developers have managed to fix yet another batch of issues. This is just a maintenance version, so no new features have been added.

According to the changelog, an undefined index warning with referenced column has been fixed, $cfg['MaxExactCount'] is no longer ignored when BROWSING is back, the multi column sorting has been repaired, and the user experience has been improved.

Moreover, the server validation now works while in setup/mysqli, and an undefined variable which occurred when editing a foreign key column has been fixed.

Also, the sorting no longer breaks the copy column feature, a Javascript error that happened when renaming a table has been fixed, the “New window” link (selflink) no longer disappears, the detection of privileges for routine creation is now done correctly, and the first few characters of the database name are now clickable after being expanded.

A complete list of changes is available in the official changelog, which can also be found in the downloaded source archive. You can download phpMyAdmin 4.2.6 source right now from Softpedia and you will need to compile the package yourself.
