Percona Server, an enhanced drop-in replacement for MySQL that will allow queries to run faster and more consistently and to consolidate servers on powerful hardware, is now at version 5.6.12-60.4 RC2.
Highlights of Percona Server 5.6.12-60.4 RC2:
• Support has been added for supplementary groups in the PAM Authentication Plugin; • mysql_install_db now works properly in debug and Valgrind builds; • A few yum dependencies that have been causing conflicts in CentOS 6.3 during installation have been fixed; • RPM installer script no longer has the server’s datadir hardcoded to /var/lib/mysql; • Several compiler warnings caused by Atomic write support for Fusion-io devices have been fixed.
