Percona Server, an enhanced drop-in replacement for MySQL that will allow queries to run faster and more consistently and to consolidate servers on powerful hardware, is now at version 5.5.34-32.0.
As the build number suggests, this latest iteration of Percona Server is based on MySQL 5.5.34 and includes changes and bugs fixes.
Highlights of Percona Server 5.5.34-32.0:
• Support has been added for UNIX sockets and named pipes; • A new variable named slow_query_log_always_write_time has been added; • A new utility_user_privileges that allows a comma separated value list of extra access privileges has been added; • The libssl.so.6 dependency issues in binary tarballs releases has been fixed; • A memory leak has been fixed.
