Paranautical Activity, an old-school first-person shooter developed by Mike Maulbeck, will arrive on the Linux platform, if its Kickstarter project is successful.

Paranautical Activity is described by its developer as a mix between old-school FPS action titles like Doom and Quake and more modern "roguelike-like" games such as Spelunky and Binding of Isaac.

Unlike in other modern shooters, in Paranautical Activity you will have to survive by any means necessary. Once the character dies, it usually stays dead. There are no saving and loading options and everything the player does matters.

The game is already in its Beta stages, but the developer doesn't think it's done yet. This is the reason he had to resort to Kickstarter and look for additional funds.
