PHP, an HTML-embedded scripting language with syntax borrowed from C, Java and Perl, with a couple of unique PHP-specific features thrown in, has been updated to version 5.4.16.

Highlights for PHP 5.4.16:

• A heap-based buffer overflow has been fixed in quoted_printable_encode; • A compilation failure on x32 has been corrected; • A segfault, which occurred on zend_deactivate has been fixed; • A segfault, which occurred due to a memory exhaustion within the function's definition, has been fixed; • An integer overflow has been fixed in SndToJewish; • Some possible memory or resource leaks have been corrected; • The --with-fpm-systemd option has been added in order to report the health status to systemd.
